Energy Audit

An energy audit will help you understand how your house works as a building system. Based on solid building science, the diagnostic tests show how air flow is happening in your residential building, and identify ways improvements can be made.

The audit should help you understand the ways the overall condition of your building relates to indoor air quality, comfort, and fuel usage. After your audit, you'll receive a written report from the auditor.

If you decide to participate in our DIY Program, you will be working with a participating auditor who is committed to helping you achieve measurable efficiency improvements in your own home. First, the auditor will perform a complete audit of your home, and provide you with a special audit report with step-by-step guidance for your home improvements. Mid-way through your project, the auditor will return to evaluate your progress, offer guidance and provide technical support. When you are finished with your project, the auditor will return to test your home and document your results. This hands-on partnership with the auditor allows you to get on-the-spot support and us allows to verify that your weatherization work is measurably improving efficiency in your home.
